Elmridge Golf Course | Pawcatuck, CT
 |
Elmridge Golf Course is located in the historic town of Stonington, in the southeastern corner of CT. Th is location, with its proximity to nearby casinos and beaches, makes the course a favored destination of day travelers from all over New England.
Elmridge Golf Course was designed and built by Joseph and Charles Rustici, and opened
for play in 1966. Like many courses in the area, the property was formerly used as a dairy farm, and a 40 ft. tall grain silo can still be found directly behind the first tee on the white course. Originally opened with only 9 holes, the course later expanded to a full 18 holes, and eventually to its current 27 hole configuration.
Covering over 250 acres, the property is graced with numerous ornamental plantings, sweeping views to the west, and cooling breezes in the summer due to its proximity to Long Island Sound.
The signature hole is the 591 yard #5 on the white course. Th is par 5 is rarelyreached in two, and then by only the strongest of players. Blue #8, featuring an elevated green and measuring just 148 yards from the back tee, rewards accuracy and is reachable by most golfers. A full length driving range with all grass tees provides guests of Elmridge a great place to warm up for the challenges of the course.
Full service dining, a lounge, and a covered deck with outdoor seating complete the day at Elmridge. For reservations and tee times call (860) 599-2248.
