Sugarbush Resort Golf Club | Warren, VT
A Superior Experience in a Spectacular Setting.
In the heart of Vermont’s Green Mountains, Robert Trent Jones, Sr. crafted a masterpiece amidst winding streams, rolling pastures, and a pristine mountain forest. Sugarbush Resort Golf Club began. And for forty-eight years, golfers of all abilities have come to enjoy the magnificent scenery and challenge designed by one of the game’s greatest architects. In fact, it was only a short time after completing Sugarbush that Jones earned the moniker “The Open Doctor” for his crucial role working with the USGA on our national championship courses.
Yet Sugarbush Resort is more than a place to play golf. It’s a place to learn golf. Ron Philos’ School of Golf, directed by Ron Philo, Jr., has been recognized as one the finest teaching and playing golf schools in Vermont. Ron was recently named Vermont’s best golf instructor by Golf Digest and Golf Magazine. He is a threetime New England PGA Player of the Year and 2006 PGA Professional National Champion. Join Ron to Get Your Game on Target with private and group instructional programs.
Summer at Sugarbush opens a world of opportunity. Ranked the third best resort in the East by SKI magazine in 2008, Sugarbush offers guests a wide range of warm-weather activities. The Sugarbush Health and Racquet Club features indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs, a full-service fitness center, tennis, climbing, massage, a kids bounce house, and more. On the mountain, guests can enjoy scenic lift rides up Lincoln Peak, hike, play disc golf, or (for adventure seekers) mountain bike or zipline. And there are a variety of camps, seasonal programs, lessons, and clinics for kids and adults alike.
Follow any of the streams or brooks and they’ll lead you to the beautiful Mad River and quaint Vermont villages of Warren and Waitsfield. Here you’ll find country stores, antique shops, art galleries, white churches, covered bridges and swimming holes.
At the day’s end, head back up the hill for a dinner at Timbers Restaurant where meals are crafted by 2009 Vermont Chef of the Year, Gerry Nooney. Then settle down at Clay Brook, our slopeside hotel and residences, which provides the comfort and refinement that will put you at ease and rejuvenate you for another day.
