Toddy Brook North Yarmouth, ME
Best Kept Secret in Southern Maine
Entering its 19th season, the Toddy Brook Golf Course has quickly become a favorite of golfers who visit or live in Southern Maine. The dream-come-true of owner and designer Robert Anderson, Jr., the course began as just a putting green in his front yard in North Yarmouth. The first 9 holes, built on his family’s farmland, opened to the public in 2002. The beautiful back nine was finished in 2005 and offers amazing views from the wooded hills across Route 9 overlooking Bradbury Mountain State Park.
The two nines have their own identity for sure, as the front is situated on wide open farmland while the back boasts dramatic elevation changes and tree-lined fairways. Both sides offer their own challenges and birdie opportunities. Water comes into play on both nines, as do well-placed bunkers and undulating greens. The five par-3’s on the course are sure to test your shot-making ability as well as your nerves. The finishing par-3 18th plays 125 yards from the men’s tee with an island green set in front of the popular clubhouse deck. Imagine combining the
17th hole at TPC Sawgrass with the 16th hole at TPC Scottsdale and you’ve got the 18th at Toddy Brook. Pressure golf at its finest.
The par-71 Toddy Brook Golf Course offers four sets of tees, with the championship black tees playing 6,214 yards and a slope of 126. The forward red tees are a great blend of challenge and playability for ladies, measuring 4,409 yards with a slope of 110. Toddy Brook is also a great place to come practice, with a full driving range that offers a grass tees.
The Toddy Brook Café is newly renovated and can hold 150-person functions including tournaments and weddings. The café stays open year round and offers breakfast, lunch and dinner with daily specials at a great price.
